Marina Munćan as a pacemaker

In New York, Marina Muncan did not run the 1500m race but the 5000m instead. The reason for that was, as Marija herself said “a technical problem. The pacemaker, who was to help with the 5000m race, withdrew at the last moment. Due to the fact that for years I have run as a pacemaker, the organizers offered me to be the pacemaker in the 5000m run, which I accepted. Despite the last minute change, I am sure that it will be an excellent test for me before the European Team Championship next week”, said Muncan.
