Crvena Zvezda Triumphs in Sremska Mitrovica

The winner of the Serbian Final Cup in both categories was AC “Crvena Zvezda”. Yesterday, athletes from Novi Beograd – Sara Savativic and Emir Bekric were also victorious, they achieved new national records. Sara broke the national record for juniors in hammer event twice, with results 51,03m and 51,77m, while Bekric won the 400m hurdle with the result 51:79 sec, which is the new junior record.
“The main event we are preparing is the World Championship for juniors at the end of July in Canada,” said Mirjana Stojanovic, Emir’s coach, who added:
“I am overjoyed with today’s record breaking result. It shows that we are on the right track. I believe that next weekend, at the European Team Championship, with stronger competition, he will be even better and reach the top form for Moncton.”
